A Thousand Words “A photograph is invisible, it is not it that we see” Roland Barthes.

PREVIEW EVENT TAKES PLACE ON TUESDAY 16TH JUNE 12PM

Exhibition runs 16.06.2009 to 20.06.2009

13 Final year students from the BA (Hons) Fine Art and Documentary Photography at Stockport College will be exhibiting their graduate work from 16th June 2009.

The images in this exhibition consider social, cultural and personal attitudes. The viewer is challenged to see beyond the photograph, and to consider a broad range of ideas in relation to topics as diverse as memory, transition, wealth, land use and the mental condition. The practice of contemporary photography lends itself to analysis of the human state and the shape of the planet upon which we find ourselves.
