Brian and Gill Tandy - July 2014
In July we will welcomed Brian and Gill Tandy for a selling exhibition of their recent works in the Granary Art Gallery. Currently living in the side of Brown Clee Hill, in south Shropshire, Gill Tandy takes her inspiration from the geological structures of the surroundings. Â Her work has always engaged with movement, the contours and change in the landscape.
Gill’s husband Brian’s recent body of work consists of large oil paintings which have arisen from a move to live permanently on Brown Clee.  His paintings are influenced by the landscape and are a subjective response to the way our eyes focus on a scene taking in parts as well as the whole.
June 2014 - The Marches Art Group
Experienced Shropshire artist and tutor, Mick Gilmore exhibited some of his exciting paintings, and pastel works, alongside some of the students he teaches.
Well known within the Shropshire arts community, Mick explores the use of colour and creativity in his work, choosing river scenes, life studies and the countryside as his subject matter. Some of his favourite themes include ‘autumn colours’, ‘light on water’ and ‘winter trees’. This exhibition included a variety of work and subjects from different artists.
