The Plain Truth: The RYBW Series In his most recent body of work, Jason Baerg has produced a series of oil paintings that reflect past, present and future iterations of our positioning in physical, physiological and virtual space.

The compositions were created as part of an online commission for Urban Shaman's on-line initiative, stormspirits.ca. http://www.stormspirits.ca/plaintruth while concurrently drawing inspiration from the themes from the Metroscope, an interactive documentary in development with APTN, the NFB and SUNTV.

Developed in the Unreal Game Engine in 3D, The Plain Truth was inspired from an airplane passenger’s window view of the Great Plains of North America. The Plain Truth: RYBW series was designed to encourage a sense of engagement, reflection and empowered visioning. The compositions include four colours: Red, Yellow, Black and White. Realized as paintings for a solo exhibition in Montréal in November 07, for Galerie Sandra Goldie, the complete body of work will also be presented in Winnipeg at the Urban Shaman Gallery in the Marvin Francis Memorial Media Gallery
