Photo Description:
LORENTE GERMÁN, Bernardo (Sevilla, 1680 - 1759) Around 1730 It is a work by the Sevillian painter from the first half of the 18th century, Bernardo Lorente Germán, which is interesting as it is one of the few representations of court art in Sevillian painting of the time which is preserved. This portrait of Infante Philip, future Duke of Parma, is proof of his link to the court during his stay in Sevilla. It was probably carried out around 1730 and shows the influence of the painter Jean Ranc in the Bourbon court, a figure whom Lorente had the opportunity of meeting during his stay in the city.
