Facilities - Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art

The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art has excellent facilities for disabled visitors, a shop stocked with exclusive gifts and a cheerful café extending onto the garden terrace.

Disabled Access
There is wheelchair access to all parts of the Gallery. There is also a specially adapted toilet and lift (toilet not suitable for larger motorised wheelchairs).

For events in the Gymnasium, parking is available in the south car park.

Within Edinburgh, Artlink runs a service enabling people with disabilities to visit arts venues in the City. If visitors wish to use their services or find out further information, telephone +44 (0)131 229 3555.

Gallery Shop
For the best in modern design, postcards from the collection, jewellery, stationery, slides and prints, textiles, ceramics and glass and a range of gallery-related products visit the Gallery shop. Exclusive products and publications as well as beautifully designed merchandise from around the world are available.

The shop is open between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Sunday.

To make a mail-order purchase, telephone +44 (0)131 624 6259 or email publications@nationalgalleries.org.

Gallery Café
This light and airy café has a pleasant buzz all year around, and the handsome terrace extending to the sculpture garden is an extremely popular spot for lunch. The menu changes daily, constituting a choice of two soups, four salads and two hot main dishes including a vegetarian option. As much as possible is made on site using Scottish ingredients. A classic selection of Scottish cheeses is on offer with a triumphant array of cakes which encourages people to often return.

Open Monday to Sunday 10am until 4.30pm, serving lunch from 12noon until 2.30pm.
