There is a bicycle rack in the courtyard.
Cloakroom
We regret that we cannot accept suitcases, hold-alls or backpacks in the cloakroom or in the galleries. Items may be subject to search. Bags must be no larger than 280mm width by 380mm height and 400mm depth.
Academy restaurant
Designed by Norman Shaw in 1885, the renovation has been led by London-based architects MUMA. The Academy Restaurant is an ideal setting for art lovers to relax and enjoy a delicious buffet menu amid celebrated murals by Fred Appleyard, Harold Speed, Gilbert Spencer and Leonard Rosoman. The renovation has enabled these murals to be illuminated for the first time, fulfilling the original intentions of the artists. With no entrance fee to the Royal Academy, this is a great meeting place for anyone in the vicinity of Piccadilly and St James's.
Opening times
12pm-3pm Saturday to Thursday (until 30 January 2007)
