Museum library

Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen's library is more than a hundred years old. It is difficult to establish the exact date of its foundation. Donations are mentioned in the earliest annual reports for the first time in 1870, when D. Vis Blokhuyzen’s Description des estampes qui forment loeuvre gravé de Dirk de Bray was presented to the museum. More http://www.boijmans.nl/en/49/museum-library

Museum shop

Near the entrance, the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen's shop has a wide-ranging collection of books on art, monographs, surveys and catalogues providing a wealth of information about the collection with its richly illustrated publications on design, old art, arts and crafts and modern art from the Koenigs Collection to Cattelan, from Rubens to Corbra.
A striking aspect is the collection of design articles in the Museum Shop, where selected items produced by CorUnum have been available for some time. For fifthy years now, this producer of modern pottery has been collaborating with contemporary designers, artists, fashion designers and architects such as Benno Premsela, Lars Spuybroek, Winnie Maas and Olav Slingerland. The result of this distinctive collaboration is a series of superb ceramics whose utilitarian function is evident but which at the same time are attractive enough to display. The Museum Shop recently added a new line of vases by Olav Slingerland to its collection. Named 'AMULET,' these vases are available in a range of colours which enable them to be mixed and matched.

The shop is also accessible without a ticket to the museum. Open: Tuesday till Sunday from 11.00 to 17.00. For more information: +31 (0)10 44.19.424.
