Facilities - Albertina

Disabled visitors are welcome at the Albertina. All of the museum’s public areas (exhibition halls, the Habsburg staterooms, the café, the museum shop, and the workshop area) are barrier-free environments. For further information please call +43 1 534 83-555 (information point).

Wheelchairs and walkers
are available free of charge at the main cloakroom against deposit of identification.

Visitors with hearing impairments
In collaboration with WITAF (Organisation for the the Deaf, Vienna), the Albertina provides Sign Language Interpretation for guided tours. With advance notice, a Sign Language interpreter may be requested for any private guided tour. For dates and conditions please contact the Albertina education department. For each exhibition, our website supplies written information. Moreover, our exhibitions are accompanied by catalogues.

Registered assistance dogs
Disabled visitors may take along their dogs upon prior registration at +43 1 534 83-540.

Parking for the disabled
Two parking places for disabled visitors are located on the Albertinaplatz (opposite the fiacre stand)

Bathrooms
for disabled visitors are located on the first upper floor (level 1), near the entrance of the Propter Homines Hall, and on the first lower floor (level–1).

Beverages and small refreshments are available at the DO&CO café on the ground floor.

The café and restaurant offer a contrasting atmosphere of modern museum and historical palace. The unique culinary establishment has 60 seats, an open kitchen, a stone bar, as well as a huge terrace for the summer season.
