Getting There - Cass Sculpture Foundation

Travelling by car from London - approximately 1¾ hours.
Take the A3 in the direction of Portsmouth/Guildford. Do not exit the A3 at Guildford, but continue around the city on the Guildford by-pass. Continue past the turn off for Farnham. You will soon see signs for Milford/Petworth/Haslemere. This exit, which you will take, is a short distance after the garage and exit for Eashing. Having left the dual carriageway, you will soon come to a roundabout. Continue straight, in the direction of Petworth/Witley. There will follow a turning to your left and another traffic circle, where you will join the A283 in the direction of Petworth/Witley.

Pass through the towns of Witley, Chiddingfold and Northchapel. When you reach Petworth, follow signs for the A272 to Midhurst. Leaving Petworth, follow signs for the A285 to Chichester. You will pass through the villages of Duncton and Upwaltham. At the top of the steep hill coming out of Upwaltham, look out for a brown sign post. It will indicate a right turn to Goodwood Racecourse and Open Air Museum. Follow this sign, and continue on for two miles until you see a small crossroads, just before a sharp curve in the road to the left. There is a sign to Goodwood House. Turn left between two lodges at this intersection. The Sculpture Estate is one mile down this road on the left.

Travelling by train from London - approximately 1½ hours.
Take the Portsmouth Harbour/Bognor Regis line from Victoria Station to Barnham. A train leaves every hour, at a few minutes past the hour. The journey takes approximately an hour and forty minutes. From Barnham Station, it is a ten minute taxi ride to the Sculpture Estate.

Travelling by car from Ashford - approximately 1¼ hours.
Take the M20 north to the M25, then follow the M25 westbound to junction 9, the turning off to Guildford on the A3. When you reach Guildford, go round the by-pass and take the turning for Petworth/Milford (A283). When you reach Petworth take the A285 towards Chichester. This road is rather bendy and will take you through the villages of Duncton and Upwaltham. There is a steep hill leaving Upwaltham, after which you will see a turning to your right. It is marked by a brown sign to Goodwood House and Goodwood Racecourse. Turn right, and continue along this road for two or three miles until you come to a small crossroads. There is a brown signpost to Goodwood Racecourse. Turn left at this intersection, between two lodges. The Sculpture Estate is about a mile down this road on the left.

Alternatively, take the coastal road through Battle, Hailsham and Brighton. Then follow signs onto the A27 to Chichester. A short distance before you reach Chichester, you will see a large roundabout at Tangmere. Follow signs to Boxgrove. Do not turn off to Goodwood. Pass through the village of Boxgrove and continue straight until you reach a stop sign at a crossroads. Go straight across and follow the flint wall on you right until you come to the end of the road. With the gates to Goodwood House in front of you, turn right. The Sculpture Estate is a mile up this road on the right.

Travelling by car from Brighton - approximately 1 hour.
Take the A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangemere roundabout, follow signs to Boxgrove. (Do not follow signs to Goodwood.) Carry on through Boxgrove until you reach a stop sign at a four-way intersection. Cross over this intersection and continue straight. Follow the flint wall on you right until you come to the end of the road. You will come to a stop sign at a t-junction, with the gates to Goodwood House in front of you. Turn right. The Sculpture Estate is approximately one mile up this road on the right.

Travelling by train from Brighton - approximately 45 minutes.
There are trains from Brighton to Barnham twice an hour, on the hour and at half past the hour. The journey takes just over thirty minutes. It is a short taxi ride from Barnham station to The Sculpture Estate.

Travelling by car from Portsmouth - approximately 30 minutes.
Follow the M27 / A27 to Chichester, on leaving Chichester follow the signs to Goodwood House/Airfield/Motor Circuit/Racecourse etc. After passing the entrance to the Motor Circuit on your left, you will come to a roundabout. Take the third exit following the brown signs for the "Goodwood Marriott Hotel". After 1 mile you will see a sign for "Sculpture at Goodwood" and the "Goodwood Marriott Hotel" on your left, (this is a sharp turn). Follow this road past the hotel and for about ¾ mile up the hill. We are on the right behind a beech hedge.

Travelling by helicopter
The Sculpture Estate is located fifty miles south of London, near the English Channel. The Foundation grounds border Goodwood House, and are a five minute drive from Goodwood Airfield. Given advance notice, landing rights in an adjacent field may be arranged.

Travelling by plane
By special arrangement, small aircraft may make use of the Goodwood Airfield, which is a five minute drive from the Sculpture Estate. Larger aircraft are obliged to use Eastleigh Airport in Southampton.
