Casa Del Lago

Located in the centuries old Chapultepec Park, a traditional site for Sunday strolls among Mexico City locals, Casa del Lago is the first off-campus cultural centre of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

Inside its halls and galleries, representatives of the country’s cultural avant-garde movement have always been present.

Casa del Lago offers its visitors a variety of high quality artistic expressions: dance, theatre, music, cinema, visual arts; as well as different courses and workshops.

Apart from Casa del Lago’s already emblematic open air activities - chess playing and painting - others can also be enjoyed: ballroom dancing, stamp collecting and reading. It is a multicultural forum for artistic experimentation in the heart of Mexico City, conveniently located along what is known as the Corridor of Museums, at the foot of Chapultepec Castle and on the bank of Lago Mayor (the park’s largest lake).
