YANN SERANDOUR = VIVEMENT LUNDI!
Exhibition, publication and residency, 11 February – 20 May 2007
Be they in the form of inserts, supplements, end notes, or within the exhibition space, Yann Sérandour’s interventions demonstrate a predilection for language and its codes. They reveal a manifest attachment to disrupting the order of the word. His work, facetious and erudite, integrates historic works and visual language which he reinscribes to new contexts. Disturbing the linearity of art history and the authority of authorship, Yann Sérandour favourises the freedom of reinterpretation and retransmission, removed from the models and rules which he has selected.
