Dulwich Picture Gallery

DULWICH PICTURE GALLERY is England's oldest public art gallery, designed in 1811 by Sir John Soane. The magnificent collection of old masters, was originally assembled for the King of Poland in the 1790s. When Poland was partitioned, an alternative home was found for the paintings in the "clean air of Dulwich". The Gallery was refurbished and extended in 2000 to include an art studio, café and lecture room.
