|Description:||The works is from a series that have been developed to create a certain tension between an engagement with a formal, process-driven aesthetic and a more relational reading centred on the work's material content as industrial, geological or political artefact. The works seek to provide a space in which a number of related dichotomies can be played out, between culture and nature, the finite and the infinite, the analogue and the
digital. Within this framework an interrogation is also at play of the position of the artist as creator and the distance at which the artist's hand can be said to be present in the work.
