My work is mainly based on pencil drawing. And with it, I experiment various medium such as simple drawing, frottage, print, photography, and moving image etc.
My idea is about relationship between perception and memory.
Especially, I am interested in the act, remembering itself rather then the content like history or personal memory. I focus on how experience of external world is processed by the subject and how it is remembered (re-constructed) by them again.

Work of art I would like to makeIf I were chosen, I would like to develop my animation about perception and memory. I will make several chapters which is consist of simply repeated actions with collage of drawings and photographs.
And also, as much as the content, I would like to focus on installation for the animation. While preparing my degree show this year, I realized that how it is powerful to make good atmosphere to present my animation. As perception is important factor of my work, I want to develop the idea about viewer's experience. |
