Installation - Textile mixed media. Two arms constructed differently. One a padded shape, the other a hand sewn patchwork (chicken wire inside). The patchwork was dyed and represents varying skintones/ageing. The rose and petals display the word 'Beauty' in many languages. The work is about how Western society views 'beauty' and how this affects those in the modern world, particularly the youth today. The arms are to be hung with the petals hanging/falling below. |
