A multi-media piece that conveys a personal journey from birth to adolescence through symbols, colours and line using the influence of Hundertwasser, Klimt and Yoko Ono. Seth made a plaster cast of his foot and painted it using the influences around him in his everyday life. He used Hundertwasser’s contour lines and symbols to convey his ‘happy-go-lucky’ Cornish lifestyle and symbols of war. Toy's from his childhood, scalectrix track, plastic toy soldiers, an old letter from a soldier to his parents during the WW1, a Remembrance Day poppy , and blood are included in his road. Seth wanted to portray the war and unease out in different countries still going on today around his simple but perfect childhood to which during his younger years he was oblivious too. This piece of Art is a reminder of soldiers lost and to how they died so ‘Seth’ and other children in our country are able to live their lives ‘carefree.’
