Photo Description:
I appreciate the game of chess and I respect those clever enough to understand it. The game is made up of wonderful geometric angles not only in the physical aspects of the board and pieces themselves but also the angles employed in the strategic plays used in the game. I like to think that I represented this characteristic well, approaching shapes in the drawing from different angles just as if I were approaching different moves in the game from different perspectives. Through cubism and the use of charcoal, I was able to accomplish a great depth within the work. Charcoal on paper 60cmx85cm
