Let Me Out

Let Me Out
Photo Description:
This piece is mainly inspired by Jenny Saville and Alsion Watt. The idea of the piece is that despite the fabric stretching across the mannequin’s front, you can still tell that the body behind belongs to a woman. Your focus is still drawn to the shape of her body. I used the mannequin due to the stereotypical female body it depicts, that every woman seems to want. The piece is meant to question the sexist view of whether women really need to show off their bodies the whole time.
