One day I visited one of my favourite places, Plymbridge Woods. 'Sunlight Through the Trees', has depicted this place through an impressionist approach that forms the fragmented shapes. The delicate sunlight that seeps through the trees falls rather heavily over the water, which was an intention of mine as I wanted to echo the strength of the sunlight in the painting. The vibrant colours express my pleasure of being in these woods, and the sunlight anchors this feeling in an uplifting nature.
