Reminiscing the Present

Reminiscing the Present
Photo Description:
For this project I used bleach to dissolve photos from my childhood and re-painted the images through the use of the dissolved pigments. Through these painting I hope to show how memories are eternalize through our existence in the present. The work explores the limitations of photography, the transformative property of memories, and the beauty of our imperfect and frequently unclear, and distorted memories. In the end, the most worthy evidence of the existence of some obscure and seemingly distant memory is the continuation of the “self” in the ever advancing present.
