The Fairy Hill Park Pavilion

The Fairy Hill Park Pavilion
Photo Description:
Model created in plywood presented as a photomontage - My concept is to develop an installation that explores the relationships between public art installation and the experience of environment. The idea is that my sculpture would be assembled and disassembled by the users of the park; the design is modular and made of one piece that is duplicated. The user may take the piece and interlink it with the other pieces in the sculpture, the concept being that over time the users of the park build their own unique environment and can continue to build it over a long period of time. The park then becomes a place that is in constant state of change so that it encourages people to visit and see... ‘what’s new this week?’. It gives the user a reason to comeback.
