A Storm Viewed From Afar

A Storm Viewed From Afar
Photo Description:
Painting on canvas. A lugubrious piece, inspired by the natural form of waves. In the foreground, a leafed vine is growing across the base of the painting and it follows the shape of the tornado. The shape and form of the vine and the tornado mirrors the structure of a wave about to topple over. The dark colour palette reflects upon the mood of the piece, which its theme is destruction and chaos, the limited colour palette compliments the idea of mayhem and gives off connotations for danger and sadness. However, behind all the madness, hope is seen through the thriving vines and the flourishing flowers which reflect how nature always finds a way to retain its beauty, and to adapt to the circumstances which may come their way.
