Photo Description:
a small (about 8"6") image. This piece was an experiment on drawing more complex backgrounds that I wasn't as confident with. Overall I was trying to capture a feeling of being disconnected from a world that is much larger than you are. It is easy to focus on your own life and obsess and the thought of your life being insignificant or small can be a frustrating experience and makes you question what your purpose is. The telephone poles directly linked to my wish to travel, to go shooting past at the speed of electricity can connected all over the world - and yet they are broken waiting for repair. The background was based a lot after my own neighborhood and my desire to leave as I grow tired of being unable to explore and expand past the same block after block of Ontario suburbia
