Control

Control
Photo Description:
There is fine balance as a young man to control my strong competitive instincts and not to react in passion, but to remain controlled. The butter being crushed in my hand represents the control needed not to obliterate when adrenaline takes over. I wanted to draw a large image in black and white so that when viewed it consumes you and boldly proclaims the power a young man has and the control needed to hold it in check. I took inspiration from the intensity of Robert Longo’s Charcoal pieces and his bold imagery. Graphic pencil, 150 X100 cm
