Photo Description:
Size 15.5 X 21 in Date: 2015 June Medium: acrylic, color pencil, ballpoint pen The artwork expresses perception of avoidance and escapement arose as the first day of the change was too sudden to easily adapt to new environment, from Korea to India. Paralleling myself with the cow, which is one of most common animals in India, the use of cow facing its rump is to create a metaphor that represents my desire to avoid obsessive attention. While the cow showing its back relates to me, the imagery of cow head coming out from the left corner is linked to ‘others’ who obsessively search for something to resolve curiosity.
