‘Lick My Lips’

‘Lick My Lips’
Photo Description:
‘Lick My Lips’ A study for ‘Inside, outside, in between’ By Palin Ansusinha, from Queen Anne’s School, Caversham. A2 Level work Materials: Acrylic on board I was particularly captivated by Richard Hamilton’s work, its concerns and analysis of the media, his sense of irony and intellectual ideas in general. Together with the effect of the media and its messages on the contemporary ‘culture’ (in the broadest sense of the word), I was interested in the sexualisation of media messages. This study focusses on this aspect, while paying a nodding respect and reference to the suggestion of techniques of mass communication processes found in Roy Lichtenstein’s work.
