Upton Hall School

Upton / United Kingdom

Upton Hall School Upton Hall School FCJ is a Roman Catholic Grammar School for girls aged 11-18. It is situated in the Diocese of Shrewsbury under the Trusteeship of the Society of the Faithful Companions of Jesus, FCJ. The school has academy status.

We have more than 950 pupils, over 200 of whom are members of our flourishing Sixth Form. We welcome applications from all motivated students for places in our Sixth Form.

Academic excellence is highly valued, with each pupil encouraged to develop her own talents to the best of her ability for her own sake and so that she can help to make the world a better place.

Upton was judged by Ofsted to be outstanding school in the full inspection that took place in October 2006 and again in January 2009 when Ofsted undertook a survey inspection. The school has three specialisms: Technology College, Language College and Training School. In addition to these we have full International School status in recognition of the work undertaken not only by the Languages Faculty but also in all curriculum areas to promote a knowledge and understanding of other places and cultures. We are proud to work with the Prince’s Teaching Institute and teaching staff in Art and Design, English, Science, Mathematics, Geography and History are working with the Institute to promote excellence.
