‘Drowning in Suburbia’

‘Drowning in Suburbia’
Photo Description:
‘Drowning in Suburbia’ By Hannah Marshall, from Queen Anne’s School, Caversham. A2 Level work Materials: Oil paint on board, & resin. Having studied and admired the work of contemporary photorealist Eric Zener, I was compelled to produce an image that touched on the notion of escaping the banality of our current era. Being submerged beneath the blanket of water offers a sense of escapism and I hope that viewing this painting evokes the same feeling. I am currently studying on the Art Foundation course at Oxford Brookes University.
