Tree sculpture
Tree sculpture
Photo Description:
This three dimensional artwork is constructed from twisted and intertwined vines, rope, branches and roots gathered locally. The form and the materials have been united to provide the viewer with a mystery; it raises questions relating to the appropriation of external and internal space and how we observe objects when they are removed from their original setting. This gives a sense of discomfort and displacement. The way that each individual branch expands out of the boxed area also asks where an artwork begins and ends. These questions are as complex as the structure that I have created.
