Grace College

Grace College is an evangelical Christian liberal arts college. For the fall term 2006, Grace enrolls 1,241 students (1,168 FTE) from 37 states and 17 countries (899 students on campus). With 52 academic majors (38 minors) and a student-to-faculty ratio of 16 to 1, Grace offers an idyllic campus setting for students interested in career and graduate school preparation as well as the integration of biblical faith and learning.

Located in the resort community of Winona Lake, near Warsaw, Indiana (36 miles west of Ft. Wayne), Grace College enrolls students from 30 denominations and many non-denominational churches and is associated with The Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. Committed to the classical and defining doctrines of historic Christianity, Grace College affirms the inerrancy of scripture and the moral, spiritual, and historical authority of the Bible, embracing sound theology, including the divine creation of the universe and other great doctrines.

Competing professionally requires intense, quality training. We believe art professionals who expect to build a career as artists need to begin with the fundamentals of good design, rather than hiding behind the excuse that art is pure self-expression and nothing more. For this reason, we start with the basics, which allows all students to build on a firm foundation, regardless of their prior art background or educational environment. An advanced degree is not needed for most careers in the art field, as graduates are hired on the strength of their portfolio. However, advanced coursework is necessary for careers such as art therapy and teaching on the university level. Student Facilities

God has blessed us with spacious and historical Mount Memorial Hall. Built over a century ago, this newly restored Renaissance Revival structure houses our state-of-the-art computer graphics lab; drawing, painting and pottery studios; darkrooms; workshop; offices; lecture rooms and the Mount Memorial Art Gallery, with a different exhibit each month of the school year displaying the work of students, faculty and regional artists.
