Northern Kentucky University

Northern Kentucky University is located in the region that encompasses northern Kentucky, southwestern Ohio, and southeastern Indiana. This metropolitan backdrop provides for all the benefits of a thriving urban setting, as well as the up close and personal feel of a campus a fraction of its size. There are nearly 14,000 students enrolled at NKU. We are currently serving students from 41 states and 64 countries. 95% of alumni with bachelor’s degrees who sought work are employed. More than 25,000 NKU alumni have chosen to stay in northern Kentucky’s local economy. Metropolitan Education and Training Services (METS) partners with the business community and Chamber of Commerce to enhance workforce readiness through access to local, regional and worldwide resources. The W. Frank Steely Library Collections house nearly 250,000 titles. There are more than 500,000 federal government documents, and over 900,000 periodicals, serials, and microforms. Location and Getting there

Northern Kentucky University is equally accessible by car, bus or airplane (Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport). NKU is situated at the junction of U.S. Highway 27, Interstate 275 and Interstate 471.

Information For  International Students

The Office of International Student Affairs (ISA) is responsible for all international student admissions, foreign credential evaluation for undergraduates, international student programming, assistance with issues relating to The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and assistance regarding the university’s English Proficiency Requirements. In addition to these services, the office staff aids international students, permanent residents and other foreign nationals with their general welfare and guides them in their relations within and outside of the university community so that they can successfully achieve their goals.
