Information For  Undergraduates

The Department of Art offers two distinct degree tracks, the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) and the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.). Both degrees offer several different areas of concentration as well as an all level teacher certification option.  

Information For  Postgraduates

The Department of Art offers two distinct graduate degree tracks, the Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) and the Masters of Arts (M.A.).
Both degrees offer distinctly different and students should read over the current M.F.A. and M.A. application packets for all details and guidelines. Prospective art graduate students should contact the graduate art advisor after reading over the application packet should additional information or clairification be needed.  


The University of Texas at Tyler alumni have established careers locally and across the nation. Some of our brightest students have gone on to become doctors, medical researchers, teachers, leaders in the business community and executives for worldwide computer companies.

Even though it will be a few years before you are a UT Tyler alumnus, the accomplishments of former students prove you will go on to do great things after you graduate.
