If you're considering graduate study, master's degrees are offered in accounting and business administration; counseling and teacher education; family and consumer sciences; and agricultural operations management. Master's degrees in education (with a major in educational administration and supervision) and agricultural operations management are available online. The university maintains accreditation for all eligible academic programs from the appropriate governing bodies.

Our Aims

The primary purpose of the University of Tennessee at Martin is to provide a quality undergraduate education in a traditional collegiate atmosphere characterized at all levels by close relationships among students and faculty. In addition, the graduate and distributed learning programs meet lifelong educational needs for all seeking knowledge. Appropriate technologies support research, scholarship, and creative endeavors, which enhance teaching and expand knowledge. The University is committed to public service and applied research efforts to enhance the economic, educational, aesthetic, and cultural life of the region.  

Location and Getting there

The University of Tennessee at Martin, located in the city of Martin, Tennessee, is about 125 miles northeast of Memphis and 150 miles northwest of Nashville.

The mission of the Department of Visual and Theatre Arts is to provide educational, artistic and cultural opportunities for the students of the University and the people of West Tennessee. The faculty and students serve the area through a quality undergraduate professional arts program with performances and exhibits enhancing the aesthetic and cultural awareness of the campus and region while preparing students for careers in the arts, teaching and for advanced study. The department engages in scholarly activity that fosters artistic integrity, scholarship and an appreciation for continued learning.
