Marietta Cobb Museum Of Art
The Marietta/ Cobb Museum of Art currently occupies a renovated historic Greek Revival building that opened as the Cobb County United States Post Office on March 14, 1910. Prior to our occupancy, the Main Branch of the Cobb County/Marietta Public Library moved into the Post Office in October 1963.
The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art continues to acquire works for its permanent collections. The museum also features ambitious special exhibitions throughout the year. Tours, lectures, workshops, classes, art camp, Family Day, art festivals and other educational, social, and cultural opportunities are also offered. The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is metropolitan Atlanta's only museum dedicated to American Art. The museum boasts a permanent collection of 19th and 20th century American Art, from Warhol to Wyeth.
The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art will be hosting the Portrait Society of Atlanta's Spring 2007 Juried Exhibition.

Take I-75 to exit 263 (Highway 120) and go west toward Marietta. After 2.8 miles, turn right onto Atlanta Street. The museum is located at the corner of Atlanta Street and Anderson Street and is one block south of historic Marietta Square. We are approximately 15 miles northwest of Atlanta.
Parking is available behind the museum or in the 2 Hour Parking Lot next door.

All tours are adapted to meet the needs of your particular group. Public, private and home school tours are designed to meet state curriculum standards in visual arts, language arts, and/or social studies, depending on the exhibition. Students are encouraged to participate in activities requiring active listening, creative thinking, as well as, written and oral expression.
The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art welcomes all ages to visit the museum on your own or enjoy a tour led by one of our informative docents. Tour participants will find our Gift Shop, featuring Georgian artists, a delightful place to browse and may choose to extend their trip by visiting the many shops, restaurants and other places of interest located just a block away.
