Musée D'Art Religieux Et D'art Mosan

The MARAM, museum of religious and Mosan art in Liege, brings together a rich collection of masterpieces from the Meuse region.
The collection of religious works gives a insight into the evolution of religious art in the diocese of Liege from the middle ages to the beginning of the twentieth century, through a collection which is considered among the most important in Belgium. The pieces include examples of sculpture, textiles, painting and gold.
The presentation of these collections, which brings together aesthetic and educative values, demonstrates the particularities of each artistic current within the ancient diocese, from roman art (11th to 12th centuries), Gothicism, the Renaissance, to 19th century historicism
