Museo De Artes Aplicadas De Toledo

The Museo de Artes Aplicadas de Toledo is located inside the Toledo School of Art’s basement space. It consists of a series of spaces which conserve the original structure of the former cloister of the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. The space was renovated to house a collection of works relating to applied arts and place them in the context of their historic-artistic meaning.

Permanent Collection

The museum’s collection includes pieces acquired as models for technical and artistic learning during the centre’s first year of creation. There are also a series of works created in different workshops and which have figured in the school’s teaching methods and which are divided into the following sections:

Highlights of this section include work by Cecilio Béjar and different techniques in moulding.

This section is a journey through different styles of art, from Art Nouveau to the historicist movements. It represents the different techniques they incorporated. Highlights include works by Sebastián Aguado, María Luisa Villalba and
