Museo Nacional De Antropología

Come and discover other people and other cultures. The Museo Nacional de Antropología was the first subject-specific museum of anthropology created in Spain. As an anthropological
museum it offers the public a global view of different peoples and their cultures and sets out the similarities which unite them or differences which separate them, to emphasize their cultural diversity. The objects which form the collections have been acquired gradually over the years and are examples of the material culture of the different peoples of Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe
and Oceania. It also holds important physical anthropology collections. On 29 April 1875, King
Alfonso XII opened the “Anatomical Museum
