Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery

The Museum and Art Gallery has three galleries which house regularly changing temporary and touring art exhibitions. There are also galleries devoted to permanent displays of George Eliot, Local History and fine art.

Temporary exhibition spaces are allocated through an application process open to all.


Anker Group of Painters

A fabulous opportunity to see and buy locally produced art. The Anker Group of Painters will be showing a broad selection of paintings from landscapes to still life.

Forthcoming exhibitions

Crump is better than Yashin
Artist Barry Wheway has produced a collection of photographs that document the passion and pride, of life at Nuneaton Boro' football club. Visitors will have the chance to win one of the images from the exhibition by voting for their favourite photographs.

Right Here, Right Now
A touring exhibition of contemporart art collected by museums in the midlands. This exhibition features painting, pottery, film, sculpture and mixed media. Grayson Perry's 'Who am I?' will sit alongside pieces by local artists Alisha Miller and Jo Connell.

Getting there

The Museum is located in Riversley Park near Ropewalk shopping centre just off Coton Road and Vicarage Street. Appoximately 10 minutes walk from Nuneaton train station and 3 minutes walk from the town centre. long and Short stay car parks are nearby.


Tea Room
The Museum and Art Gallery building encompasses a Tea Room providing a range of coffees, lunches and teas.

The Tea Room has the same opening hours as the museum, with the addition of Monday (10.30am - 4.30pm).

Museum Gift Shop
Visit our shop for a range of unusual gifts, from items inspired by the collections, to souvenirs of your visit, fine art cards and children's gifts at pocket money prices.

News and events

The Museum has Special Events Days on the first Saturday of every month. Upcoming dates for your calendar include 3rd February, 3rd March and 7th April.

An Additional event is being held on 17th February. "festival of the Dragon Moon" two puppet shows by professor Popup's puppet Theatre. This event will close our Chinese themed half term activities which take place on th 13th, 14th and 15th of February.
