The Maple Ridge Art Gallery
Community art lovers founded the Maple Ridge Art Gallery Society, with its first exhibition in 1982. In April 2003, the Maple Ridge Art Gallery moved into its current complex within the Arts Centre and Theatre (ACT) in the downtown core of Maple Ridge.
The Maple Ridge Art Gallery promotes the visual arts and educates through ongoing exhibitions, educational tours, workshops, artist's talks, art rental programs, and a gallery shop. The Gallery provides a facility for both amateur and professional artists of all ages.

11944 Haney Place in downtown Maple Ridge.
Ample underground pay parking is available at The ACT and can be accessed from Haney Place, Dewdney Trunk Road and Edge Street.

The Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Arts Council has a rich history spanning 32 years serving the artistic and cultural needs of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. As the main organization responsible for community cultural development in both cities, the council functions as an umbrella organization for over 25 member groups plus individual, family and corporate members. This active non-profit society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Arts Council promotes and supports all disciplines of the arts and is committed to fulfilling their motto of "Bringing Arts to the Heart of Our Community".
The Council is dedicated to promoting and encouraging appreciation for the arts. Working in partnerships with organizations, individuals and governments the council acts as an arts resource and forum for communication.
The council administers arts & crafts classes, hosts special events like the Annual Family Arts Fair, holds general meetings, manages charity fundraising, provides high school graduation scholarships and grants to member groups.
Four sessions of classes are offered each year; fall, winter/spring and summer. Listings of the Arts Council programs available at The ACT and a variety of other community facilities can be found in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Education & Recreation guide.
Classes are available in: dance, music, acting, drawing, painting, pottery, woodcarving, photography, paper making, quilting, stained glass, writing, print making, jewelry making and sculpting.
