31 May – Drag & Draw. 11 Minutes + Artist Tour. The Art of the Perfect Lip
Join us on the opening night of our major summer exhibition, Beyond Fashion. Tickets include:

Drag & Draw
This life drawing workshop will feature drag artists who use performance, make up and fashion to challenge gender expression. Guided by the Saatchi Gallery Learning team, participants will be encouraged to engage with the live performances and poses held by the performers through sketches and drawings. No prior experience is required.

11 Minutes
Named after one of Pasqua Wines’ signature wines, “11 Minutes”, this workshop challenges participants to create a piece of work through sketch, inspired by the exhibition Metamorphosis in 11 minutes time. The winner will receive 3x complimentary tickets to the next Saatchi Late and a magnum of Pasqua wine.

Artist Tour
Almudena Romero will lead two tours of the exhibition Metamorphosis, highlighting the show’s key themes, her artistic practice and work in the exhibition.

This workshop and tours are supported by Pasqua Wines.

The Art of the Perfect Lip with MAC Cosmetics & VIVA GLAM
Join “The Perfect Lip,” a live performance where makeup becomes an exquisite art form. Featuring four diverse artists, this dynamic piece showcases stunning lip looks created on each other. Make up artists will collaborate on a model, each contributing a unique lip element to craft a mesmerizing avant-garde masterpiece. Participants are invited to engage by creating their own ‘perfect lip’ using MAC products, before using experimental photography with polaroids to capture this look, and display it on a vanity.

This activation is supported by MAC’s VIVA GLAM initiative.

28 June – Botanical Drawing and Printmaking

In celebration of The RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show, the second of our Summer Lates will be themed around botanical art. Tickets include:
– Entry to both The RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show and Beyond Fashion
– Entry to all current Ground Floor Shows
– Bar open to 8:30pm
– Two guided workshops

Botanical Drawing
This workshop invites you to try your hand at botanical drawing from a beautiful floral display provided by Sisters of Bloom. Botanical artist and 2023 RHS exhibitor Rui Jiang will offer suggestions, advice and support.

Botanical Printmaking
Create botanical prints from real plants and flowers using simple monoprinting techniques, supported by the Saatchi Gallery Learning team.
Both workshops are open to all levels; basic materials will be provided.

26 July – Draped Drawing

Don’t miss our penultimate Summer Late. Tickets include:

• Entry to Beyond Fashion
• Entry to all current Ground Floor Shows
• Bar open to 8:30pm
• A drapery life drawing class

Using only fabrics and pins, models will form creative silhouettes of their body for participants to draw and sketch. These poses will be held for both short and long periods, with direction and support provided by the Saatchi Gallery Learning team. Open to all levels, materials will be provided for those attending.

6 Sept – Strike a Pose: ‘Voguing’ Life Drawing

Join us for our final Late of the season. With London Fashion Week coming up, visitors are invited to join us for a life drawing session where models and an MC will perform and pose for you to draw, sketch, and feel inspired. Tickets include:

• Bar open to 8:30pm
• A guided ‘Vogue’ Life Drawing class

‘Voguing’ is a highly stylised, modern house dance originating in the late 1980s that evolved out of the Harlem ballroom scene of the 1960s. It is inspired by the poses of models in fashion magazines, like many of those you will see in the Beyond Fashion exhibition.
