Notting Hill Carnival Flower Headdress Making (6.30-8.30pm)
Join us for a vibrant, hands-on workshop where you’ll design and create your own carnival headdress. Drawing inspiration from archival imagery by photographer Charlie Phillips, artworks from FLOWERS, and the bold designs of London-based carnival section Blossom Concepts, this session celebrates culture, creativity, self-expression and masquerade. Guided by expert makers, participants will explore colour, texture and learn costume-making skills while crafting stunning headpieces that honour carnival traditions.
Badgemaking with Badge Café (7-8pm)
Badge Café is rooted in care, fun, creativity, collaboration and hope. They see badgemaking as a refuge, a playground, a laboratory and a launchpad – a place where self-care, social connection, analogue crafting, artistic exploration and progressive civics meet. Come embrace this philosophy and create your own floral badges.
Drop-In Fun with Twisty Ties (7-8.30pm)
In Elaine Duigenan’s series ‘Blossfeldt’s Apprentice’, which is on display as part of FLOWERS, she uses ‘twisty ties’ to recreate the seminal photographs of Karl Blossfedlt. The workshop is designed to be drop-in, relaxed, and fun with examples of both Blossfeldt’s and Elaine’s works used as reference. Come and make your own organic creation of twisty ties!
We recommend booking your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment!
